Julie Doucet exhibited a series of sculptures accompanied by collage poems on the theme of heartbreak. The collection of poems itself resembles an artist’s book composed of five banners, gathered in a screen-printed cardboard box and titled Poèmes d’amour (Love Poems) (2006).
At regular intervals, she rearranges the sculptures and reads a new section of the book/zine on which the poems are printed. This work was subsequently republished under the title À l’école de l’amour in 2007 by L’Oie de Cravan, as well as in several collective works.
